I have never had a close encounter of a bear kind. I think I would be petrified.

I’ve had quite a few, but it never stops being scary. I had to shoot one that was coming after my kids once.

Love your bear photos. Mr. Flea Bag looks poorly. My friend, from the town I used to live in, had a black bear in her backyard on Thursday night. Caused quite a stir in Alex City. He even made a visit to Walmart. Chief and I saw one cross the road years ago on our way here. State wildlife services are after the bear now. I have 20 something bird feeders in my yard so he’s probably headed here for some snacks. Very unusual for our area. Do you encounter them often? Read previous comment where you killed one that was after your children. What kind of gun did you use? Bet that was a scary experience for all! Be careful in your wanderings!

I wrote about it in my blog titled, “Memories #10: The Bear”. I don’t know if you can punch the title in to get it, but it’s a fairly detailed account of one scary afternoon for my family. We have quite a few around, so I’ve had a few experiences I could relate. Thanks, Lane!
