knowing things
is why you don’t
join the conversation;
it’s why you
can’t have faith;
it’s why you
stared out the
window in school,
and why you’ll
never make anything
of yourself
in this world.
knowing things
is a crime you
willingly carried out,
and now you must
do the time.
So true

Knowing becomes almost a crime, punished with solitude and inadequacy. A bitter critique of a world that favors conformity over lucidity. A deeply rational poem. Thank you for sharing this perspective.β¨π

You too, Lane. We’re having some rare above zero weather for a couple of days, it’s been nice.

I used to stare out the window when I was at school too, esp when it rained ; a really thoughtful poem, Michael and a great ending ! ‘Rusty Puddles’ is another of yours I really like π

Knowing things, you are the leaven in the bread, simply by being you being present in this slowly evolving world, often misunderstood, undervalued or marginalized as βdifferentβ. You are not alone in growing consciousness. Our species advances with people like you, whatever your challenges may be. Knowing is better than faith and mere hoping. π«π

Yes, faith, by definition, means you don’t know. Thank you for your usual profound insights!
