as i’m growing older,
the winters feel colder,
but nothing’s more tranquil
than a walk down to the lake–
though colors fade away
on this bleak december day,
i’m feeling very thankful
with every step i take

I love this poem, Michael and I sure can relate to it. Even the photo, as I was watching the heat rise from the lake here this cold morning of -20 C on our thermometer. π₯Άππ©΅Maybe itβs only an iodine deficiency sign π

We had -20 F without the wind chill, which is also quite nippy. I took some video on my phone of the vapor blowing across the lake earlier when it was windy. Brrrr!

Looks like a cold day for wandering. Hope some sunshine smiled on you today.
