cageless, my spirit
flies untethered
ageless, my soul is
wise but weathered
my spirit flitters
here and there
never settling
anywhere
my soul remains
within my heart–
yet soul and spirit
never part

These are profound subjects, of which I know very little, but my poem is about how they feel to me. Thank you, Lane!

Thank you, Shelley, just my own feelings about them, not anything I know for sure!

I honour your feelings about this, Michael. ‘Direct knowing’ is our Soul’s ability to perceive and understand far beyond our Intellect’s data, analysis and speculations of Mind and personal Ego. We are wise not to claim ‘infallibility’ of course in our assertions even when we remember our higher nature. People do tend to mock the ‘wise guys’ and deny their own spiritual nature and experience.
