So graceful and majestic! Do they nest there and raise their young? You have such a beautiful world to wander in and I’m trapped in the asphalt jungle with my birds and butterflies and occasional raccoons. Never realized how much I loved the forests and wildflowers till I moved back home. Happy evening!
Lovely! I’m happy for them. In old symbolism, swans symbolise wishes fulfilled. I sometimes wonder who was the first person who came up with that symbolic meaning and why… as with so many other symbols and meanings. Of course, these continue through generations through agreement or unquestioning belief. Like associations with water in various ways linked with emotions, it all seems quite ‘poetic’ to me. Another wonderful post, Michael!

Yes, they build nests near water, sometimes even on beaver huts, and fly south during the winter. I don’t see many raccoons, though. Thanks, Lane!

I do too! They are so romantic with each other, and mate for life. Thanks!

Some humans can take a lesson or two from them. The mating for life bit I mean! Thank you.
