the forest fire rages just a few miles away–
if the wind begins to shift, we must all evacuate.
if the siren starts to blow, it’ll blow my worried mind–
do i take the kitty too? i can’t leave her behind!
i guess i’d take the things most important of all:
my laptop, the kitty, and my captain kirk doll!

Hop you don’t need to evacuate. Be safe!

Seems like the wind is dying down; it was very strong before, and in our direction. Thanks, Sandy!

So far, Lane! You often mention how beautiful it is here in Minnesota’s forests, but it has its problems: forest fires, ticks, and mosquitoes!

We have mosquitoes and ticks and got awful humidity. My husband was a tick magnet. We have the vicious little fire ants. I always wonder why God let the fire ants on the ark. Have a good day. Hope the fire is out now.

Ha ha, tick magnet! I was stationed in Florida for a while, and one day when my wife was hanging out clothes–barefoot–we found out about fire ants. My wife’s face was so swollen, her eyes were slits! As far as the ark goes, it’s too bad that Noah messed up and only took one unicorn with him. Thanks, Lane!
