That’s funny. I always hated my married name. I write under L.E. Kimball. My maiden name. Lynn Fay sounds like a romance writer or like I’m Asian, which of course I’m not. And two short names. But thanks.
Each of your photos may easily inspire a poem from your post. The black and white and greys always remind me of my childhood and my family’s old fashioned camera that seemed like something magical. The moments were captured in black and white and greys in paper photos to be added to our albums. My siblings and I now have those divided up photos of times recorded by stills. Ordinary moments more than special events, they feel precious to me now. Thanks for sharing your moments Michael. ❄️
Thank you, Shelley! When I was a young, we had one of those big black box-type cameras, which wasn’t much more advanced than a pin-hole camera. There was a big crank on it for advancing the film, and it could take up to two weeks to get it developed. Now my phone/camera comes with the answer to to almost any question, and fits in my shirt pocket.
Love them. Love black and white.

Thank you, Lynn! I like your name; sounds like a fairy or sprite name.

I guess it does sound a bit like a romance writer, but I like it.

for some reason, black and white suits these subjects —

They work well for structures such as bridges, but not for things like flowers and such. Thank you, John!

I love black and white photography! Touch of green…symbolic of rebirth in spring! Happy evening!

Wow, somehow I didn’t notice the green, but now that you pointed it out, I like it. The hope of spring. Thank you, Lane!
