life is poetry–
a free-flowing form
of self-expression;
line by line,
our lives
pass into poems.
some are sonnets;
others are odes,
haiku, epic, free verse.
some take
a tanka turn–
i think mine must
be a limerick.

I like your limericks, so you are probably a likable guy.

If you haven’t read much of Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman, please read it more, Michael. His book of poetry is full of life and the love of living things. (A whole lot of deep insight is within that great book!)

I love his poetry, Tom! I always think, I wish I’d written that! It’s been quite a while, I may have to move it up on the To Read list!
