Once i took my handicapped students (all in wheelchairs) to a Nature Preserve. One of the animals on display was a bald eagle that couldn’t fly. A Preserve Ranger talked to us, and in front of my students said, “We won’t keep handicapped birds any longer to display to the public, because they are imperfect.” 😔
