nature loves painting

beautiful wildflowers

on roadside landscapes.

i picture her as a girl,

hopping and skipping

along the ditches,

accidentally on purpose

spilling and splattering

her summer colors

with reckless abandon,

and leaving a trail

of beauty behind.
