I woke up this morning to the deafening crack of thunder right outside my window. I stumbled to the front door and opened it. There, filling the entire sky, was this black funnel cloud bearing down on me. The fear I felt at that moment was…exquisite.
Fortunately, it never reached the ground and skipped right over us.
The experience reminded me of Molly, a dog we had years ago, who was so afraid of thunder, she would panic and stand there shaking–gun-shy, they called it. On the Fourth of July, she would hide in a closet upstairs all day.
Not only did I get a Shot of the Day out of this storm, but a huge Shot of Adrenaline as well. I think I’ll use it to my advantage and tackle some of the household chores I’ve been putting off.

My dog has been shuddering the whole last week. Not a fan of fireworks. That’s quite the cloud there.
