o mother earth
giver of all life
you wear your
jewel-encrusted
flowing blue robe
like a great queen
your shimmering
emerald auroras
crown your brow
with ghostly tiaras
you are a tiny isle
of life in a vast
ocean of death
you are a bright
sky-blue tv screen
in a pitch-black
living room
they say that those
who’ve seen your
sphere of life
against the utter
emptiness
of space are
forever changed
shatner cried
Fantastic imagery, metaphors, and ending. š

Thank you, Michele!! If only everyone could see earth from space, we might get along better
