mouth of the river–
ever agape with wonder
at the open sea

the rolling river
bobs and weaves through solid stone–
and comes out unharmed
when we roll with the punches
we wear down the enemy

Lake Superior’s rocky shore–
What a wonder to explore!

morning sun so bright
it’s threatening to ignite
the smoldering trees

It’s nice here
In the forest
Where the air
Is fresh and clean;
It’s all untouched
By human hands,
So natural
And pristine.
Isolated
In the woods,
It’s quiet
And serene;
My refuge
From the world,
It’s my green
Quarantine!
