Now they say that
There’s no rhyme for silver,
And they say that
There’s no rhyme for orange,
But I’ve petted
A bleating young chilver,
And in high school
I studied a sporange.
So they say that
What is often isn’t,
And they say that
What isn’t often is,
So I guess that
What isn’t isn’t isn’t,
And what is isn’t
Is isn’t is.

the tallest trees in my yard

Isn’t leading the old sleigh tonight,
For Santa, I guess,
Has installed GPS,
And now Rudolph’s his new taillight.

Santa came, but daddy missed him.

some folks get depressed
when the shortest days arrive
yet others feel blessed
and are glad to be alive
if sunshine’s what you need
there’s good news on the way
tomorrow’s guaranteed
to be a brighter day
