What excellent bird photos! A wise owl, a dignified eagle, a gathering of eagles like I’ve never seen before. I’m so glad you aren’t ‘snowed in’ and were able to make those tracks through all the white stuff.
Well, I was writing a comment and away it went. Saw an eagle once in the yard across the street. You saw a convocation of them. They are so regal. I love the owl. I have owls around here at twilight with their arrogant poses and intent stares. They sit on top of the power poles looking at me like I’m intruding on their territory. Penelope is petrified of them. Happy wandering, friend!
mine does that too, sometimes–merrily typing away, and… gone! Perhaps we are intruding on the owl’s territory. How big is Penelope? Owls have been known to carry off small dogs and cats. Thank you, Lane!

There were about twice that many eagles there, but to get them all would make each one so tiny! Thanks, Shelley!

Penelope is 16 pounds. Those hoot owls in the neighborhood are huge. She even hides in the house when they hoot. Happy evening.
