a hidden stream is wrested
from the verdant vegetation
and tumbles noisily down
a set of cool stone steps,
giving voice to the secrets
of its endless, cyclic travels.
secrets of strange lands
and thunderstorms and seas.
secrets–now borne on
the whispering wind.

I sometimes wish water could tell the tales of all the places it has been.

It plays a part in so many stories, from the flood to the rime of the ancient mariner, moby dick, etc., the list goes on…

Interesting water pattern with all the bubbling. Probably my over reacting imagination but I see faces on the rocks on the left and top. 🤓Aaron is capturing the lush spirit of Vietnam very well. Happy evening!

Yes, I saw them before as well, but now that I’m looking for them, I don’t see ’em. Thanks, Lane!

A beautiful poem. I think of all water as holy and feel deep gratitude for it despite pollution and toxicities introduced into it by us. Water in us and around us cycles the Earth in different forms making Life as we know it here possible. I am in awe of water. You clearly are aware of the wonders of Nature too Michael. 🪷
