some faces
are prettier
than others,
some faces
are only loved
by mothers,
and some faces–
well, i’m just glad
i’m not a buzzard.

Ha ha, this is great, and I agree with that. I wonder if the buzzard thinks the same things about us.

They probably do, Adam! Thanks.

Maybe they are not much to look at, but I always envy them when I watch them flying around the sky dipping and floating and riding the waves of the wind!

Yea, they’re easy to identify by the way they fly, wings are more like a vee, and, of course, circling. Thanks, Susan!

Delightful, humorous poem. The saying that beauty is in the eye of the beholder is so true. Funny how some love wrinkles on elephants but dread wrinkles on humans or love fat on whales but not fat on humans. I sometimes like to picture us all as one particular shape, size, colour etc and think how our sameness would be exceedingly boring. Especially if we are androgenous! 😁
