My feelings today are as mixed up as this April weather; on one hand, it’s Earth Day, and you know I’m all about that, but on the other, it would’ve been my 45th wedding anniversary, had Jody not been taken from us 12 years ago.
Sometimes it’s hard, just looking on at all the others with their mates, but on a brighter note, being alone (and retired) gives me the time and opportunity to get out there and beat the bush for wildlife photos to share with you.
Happy Earth Day!!

I am sure it does not get easier to get over such a loss. I love all your photos.

Aw. My mother died very young of a massive stroke 64 years old. My dad never remarried and sudden deaths are a shock to the system. My dad lived to 90 but he was never the same.

It’s like a big part of you that no other person knows about is gone, but time does help some.

My sympathies, Michael. That’s a tough anniversary. I don’t know what I would do. Probably same as you – that’s a wonderful photograph.

Thank you, Michael!! I guess we make the most of what we’ve got, but don’t get me wrong, I’m very grateful for ‘what I’ve got’
