winter clouds come down
for a visit, but they get
hung up in the trees
it’s nice to have visitors–
till they hang around too long

he catches serenity,
solitude, and peace of mind.

their loud colors are soon gone
yet he remains evergreen

all things are impermanent
so we must learn to let go

We Americans
Say we’re a Christian nation–
Clearly, we are not.
We have far more vacant homes
Than we have homeless people.
