if you could be an owl for a day,
would you be a snowy or a grey?
Though to some, that sounds nice,
it would come with a price–
you’d be plumb full of mice either way

We have barred owls here. We call them hoot owls. They can be so loud with their hoots. They hoot eight times, sounds like “Who hoots for you, who hoots for you.” Taken several photos of a pair sharing a telephone perch. These owls you captured are so beautiful! Look forward to your photos each day! Enjoy your rambling!

Thank you, Lane! Reading the hoot 8 times reminded me of an old Beatles song where they sing something like, “Coo coo ca choo, coo coo ca choo!”

Fantastic photos! Your poem made me burst into laughter. I love it! My Mother was an Owl but she never ate mice. 💕
